Purrfect Pal privacy policy

Effective September 25, 2026

The short version: Purrfect Pal does not collect or share any personal data. Your cats, gifts, name and settings are stored only on your iPhone. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and the app never talks to a server of ours.

What the app keeps, and where

Everything you make in Purrfect Pal is saved on your device, inside the app's own storage:

  • your cats: their names, looks, moods, ages and streaks;
  • gifts and notes you send or receive;
  • the name you ask the app to call you, and, only if you add them, nicknames and a birthday (used for greetings and a birthday surprise);
  • your settings, such as sounds, app icon and widget choices.

Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets read the same on-device data. None of it is sent to us or to anyone else. If your iPhone backs up to iCloud or a computer, this data is included in that backup the way any app's data is, under Apple's terms.

Gift links and cat cards

When you send a gift or share a cat card, the app makes a link that carries the gift or the cat's look inside the link itself, in the part after the “#”. Browsers never send that part to a web server, so it never reaches shaiitech.com or our logs. The page a link opens in a browser makes no network requests of any kind. You choose who gets a link, and anyone who has the link can open it, so share it the way you would share a photo.

Camera and photos

The camera is used only when you choose to see your cat in your room with AR Quick Look; that view runs on your device and nothing is recorded or sent. The app asks to add photos to your library only when you save a picture of your cat, and it never reads your existing photos.

Siri, Shortcuts and widgets

If you use Siri or Shortcuts with Purrfect Pal (for example “Feed Mochi”), Apple handles the request under its own privacy policy. The app only tells iOS your cats' names so Siri can recognize them.

Beta testing on TestFlight

While Purrfect Pal is in beta, Apple's TestFlight may send us crash reports and any feedback or screenshots you choose to submit, along with basic device information such as the model and iOS version. We use these only to fix bugs and improve the app. Apple's TestFlight terms and privacy policy describe what Apple collects.

Children

Purrfect Pal is made to be friendly for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children.

Deleting your data

Deleting the app from your iPhone deletes everything it stored. You can also say goodbye to a single cat in the app's settings.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
